I update a few times a year. Here's some new stuff.
 | I decided to put in a new feature called "Spittin'
Images?"--It's all about family resemblances. Hope you like it! |
 | My mom's second cousin Mary Ellen seemed upset that not
much was not about her grandmother, Christina(Kristina) Myhre Regan. I found some
information for her! She came to America in 1886 with her Mom's second cousin, Ole
Torgalson Sletten's, family. She was listed as a "Huholderske".
Christina was married on Aug. 11, 1891 to John Regan. I believe the Regans were railroad
workers. In the 1910 Census she is living in Chouteau, Montana. I hope this
helps you Mary Ellen! I'll keep looking! |
 | I received a lot of help from Leroy Madson, who is the
"unofficial genealogist" of the Nora Lutheran Church. He informed me that
my great grandfather Lars Larson Myhre's land was a mile and a half south of where the
current church and cemetery sits. He gave me death dates of Lars' parents and other
info that I have input into my Internet family tree. It is also the church where my
great grandparents were married, so it's cool that my mom, sister and I visited there.
A BIG THANKS to Mr. Madson. |
 | I have also input some new "Jones" information
received from Mildred Cady, a relative of my great-great grandaunt, Martha Jones
Patterson. Here's a photo of Martha's grave Mildred graciously sent me: |

 | I received some Civil War records I ordered
regarding my great-great grandfather Joseph Stewart. It did not contain the information I
was seeking. I'm sill not sure if he was born in Prince Edward Island, Canada or
Greenock, Scotland. A genealogical bummer.
